**HammondCare Caulfield is currently looking for Permanent Part-time Carers to join our team.**

With our unique model of care, that places the residents needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal and domestic support within the residential cottage.

Our Cottage style homes provide care for residents living with Dementia. You will be working as part of a team in a cottage, with a maximum of 15 residents to care for. You will work in a team of 2 to 4 carers and your duties will include:

- Personal care - including nutrition, hydration, hygiene, continence management, mobility support etc.
- Engagement/Lifestyle - involving the residents in the day-to-day life in their cottage, as a group and individually, to meet their personal history, interests, likes and needs
- Domestic assistance -Food preparation and cooking, resident room and communal area/kitchen cleaning and resident personal laundry

All new staff will attend an onsite orientation with a Workplace trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
- Have a genuine passion for serving people living with Dementia & you want to make a difference in their lives
- Be available to work at least 3 shifts per week. Availability for 5 shifts a week would be viewed favourably
- Be willing to undertake the cooking, cleaning and laundry tasks associated with the model of care and role
- Value teamwork but also be able to work independently, be proactive and show initiative
