**LINUX ADMINISTRATOR - 11 MONTH CONTRACT - NSW GOVERNMENT OPPORTUNITY**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented **Linux System Administrator** to support the delivery of a strategic objective for the Department of Customer Service.
- Conduct **VMWare, Linux systems administration**: Operating System installation, configuration, integration, hardening, performing OS upgrades, software and patch management and relevant documentation.
- ** Development and implementation of technical solutions**: Linux OS Implementations, Upgrades, Migrations and Decommission and support with ongoing projects.
- ** Automation and Scripting skills**, implement and manage storage, ability to perform server password recovery.
- Deliver projects for DCS and Cluster Agencies, including support during the requirement gathering phase, analysis of system landscape and technical design.
- ** Monitor and manage system capacity and usage**.

**Key skills/ experience required for the role**
- 7+ years of proven experience in **Linux system administration (RHEL 9.x/8.x/7.x)**:

- Experience with virtualization technologies (**KVM, VMware**)
- Experience with containerization technologies (**Docker, Kubernetes**)
- Strong hands-on experience on **technical planning, Linux OS deployment methods, upgrades, and migrations**:

- Operated in complex heterogeneous IT landscapes
- Demonstrable presentation and client facing skills.
- ** Be analytical**, **results-driven** and have a **solution-oriented approach**
