**About the Role**:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced and highly motivated trade qualified Diesel Fitters to join the Hastings Deering team in Archerfield Brisbane. This role is for permanent full time Diesel Fitters, Monday to Friday with reasonable additional overtime as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Repair and maintenance on Caterpillar equipment
- Maintain and complete all paperwork associated with job completion
- Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
- Ensure cleanliness, quality and safety is of the highest standard at all times
- Monitor your time management to maximize efficiency
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Minimize production downtime by prioritizing work to the required timeframes
- Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives
- Act as a mentor for Apprentices

**Required Skills and Competencies**:

- Relevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitter or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems
- Computer Literate
- Committed to a No Harm Environment
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace
- A continuous Improvement commitment and positive attitude towards change
- Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + D&A Screening
- A proficient & motivated work ethic
- Forklift Licence desirable
