**About the role**

Our dedicated Maintenance and Facilities team is professional and productive with a strong desire to contribute to the development of Cire Services. Led by an experienced Facilities Manager, the team focuses on maintaining and improving grounds and facilities for the enjoyment of Cire staff, students and the wider community. You will be joining a team that is committed to service excellence and will receive all the necessary support to ensure your success.

No two days will be the same. Duties may involve general maintenance of facilities and grounds; such as mowing, weeding, trimming, garden maintenance and pressure cleaning; through to basic plumbing, painting and minor building repairs.

This full-time, permanent position will see you based in Yarra Junction, however, some travel will be required between sites across the Yarra Ranges and Berwick. Hours are 7am to 3pm, with some flexibility as required.

**About you**

As a qualified tradesperson or experienced maintenance worker, you will be ready to roll up your sleeves and draw on your experience and skills to maintain grounds and facilities. You will have:

- A Trade qualification (ideally carpentry, electrical, plumbing, building) or proven experience as a handyperson/maintenance worker
- Experience completing repairs and maintenance to the interior and exterior of buildings
- Experience working safely with hand and power tools and maintaining grounds and gardens
- A strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- A good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and safe work practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to build rapport with your stakeholders
- The ability to monitor a work order system and prioritise tasks
- Hold a valid and current Victorian Driver's License with access to a reliable car (Drivers accreditation desirable)
- Currently hold, or be willing to undertake, certifications including a Working with Children Check, Australian Right to Work Check, and National Police Check
