**YOUR ROLE**

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our freight forwarding business, specialising in serving clients in the oil and gas industry.As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the transportation and logístical operations for our oil and gas account. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods, equipment, and materials in and out of various oil and gas project sites.**WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?**

Specifically, you will:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate transportation activities for the oil and gas account, ensuring seamless pickup, transportation, and delivery of goods, equipment, and materials
- Manage shipping and customs documentation, adhering to regulations and industry standards. Verify accuracy, complete customs forms, and coordinate with brokers
- Oversee the supply chain process, including inventory management, procurement, and vendor coordination, ensuring timely availability of materials while optimising costs
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and carriers, maintaining regular communication to provide updates, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Identify potential logistics risks and develop proactive solutions. Monitor shipments and address delays or damages promptly
- Optimise logistics operations to reduce costs, evaluating transportation options and negotiating rates with carriers
- Identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and seek innovative logistics solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
