**About the role**

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Zoologist to join our team in Port Melbourne on a full time basis.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive field experience and at least some consulting experience. Shorebird identification experience would be highly valued. You will be working across multiple projects and locations so a willingness to be flexible and be able to travel is essential.

**Selection criteria**

**To be considered for this role, please forward your CV and cover letter which demonstrate these required skills and attributes**:

- **Tertiary qualifications in ecology or zoology.**
- **A minimum of two years’ of zoological experience (preferably in consultancy or the public sector).**
- **Strong fauna identification skills (including advanced bird identification skills).**
- **Demonstrated experience with field survey design and implementation.**
- **Working knowledge of Commonwealth and state legislation with regard to ecology.**
- **Strong proposal and report writing skills.**
- **Experience in sales, client relationship management and business development including client liaison and consultation.**
- **Demonstrated experience with project management, including managing budgets and delivery within set timeframes.**
- **Competency with computer programs and software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook or similar software packages.**
- **A manual driver’s licence.**
- **Australian citizenship/residency, or a valid work permit.**
