**Job Summary**:
**Expectations of the Role**:

- Supporting and encouraging our team members and contractors in maintaining and improving HSQE activities.
- Maintain and improve the workplace safety culture.
- With our support, monitor changes in the Work Health and Safety (WHS) field including legislation, regulations, guidelines & codes of practice.
- Conduct regular site safety walks across our sites, and report finding to high-level Team members and officers.
- Assist with Tender Development in relation to HSEQ requirements.
- lead the implementation of an accredited HSEQ management system.
- Assist in assessing the HSEQ Management Systems of contractors
- Develop and implement practices that improve HSEQ performance.
- Attending meetings to provide advice & guidance in respect of all HSEQ matters.
- Assisting in the delivery of Toolbox Talks ensuring the quality of content & delivery for safety topics.
- Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and facilitating of SWMS development workshops where necessary.
- Reviewing Contractor Safety Management Plans to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Lead or participate in investigations, as requested by the Project Manager, into all accidents/incidents to identify root causes and appropriate corrective/preventative actions.
- Provision of support in delivery of Daily Pre-starts.
- Developing and managing company-wide learning to create a culture based on safety and sustainable results, including ongoing campaigns and the induction process.

**Daily Tasks Involve**:

- Conduct Safety Inductions with staff and subcontractors.
- Plan, conduct, and document toolbox talks.
- Monthly safety reporting, including SWMS audit and compliance.
- Management of subcontractor compliance.
- Compile data/evidence for monthly reporting.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new team members on multiple platforms.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate IV in WSHQE, or Construction Management - or higher.
- Sound knowledge of and experience with workplace safety and construction legislation.
- Be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a larger team.
- Full Drivers License, Construction White Card, and First Aid Certificate.
- Must be prepared to travel where and as necessary.
- Previous experience as a Safety professional in a construction environment or member of a team.
- Inspection and report writing skills.
- Good computer skills across mobile devices, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Must have high-level skills in operating technology; iPads, iPhones, and computers.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- The ability to produce quality written reports.
- Strong people skills.
- A 'can do' energetic attitude and action-oriented approach.
