**About This Role**

We’re seeking a dynamic **Import Supply Planner on a FTC (until December 2024)** to ensure maximal stock availability for Metcash retail and wholesale customers on direct imported products through effective inventory and order management. This role is based in Macquarie Park and has a direct reporting line into the International Supply Chain Manager.

**What you’ll do**:

- Achieve Service Level Targets for direct imported goods whilst ensuring Aged Stock and Short Code exposure is minimised
- Create purchase orders and send to offshore suppliers
- Review item level forecasts and demand plans
- Optimisation of full container orders
- Pre-shipment splitting of consolidated orders
- Liaise with Q&A to ensure necessary certifications are provided
- Negotiate additional services where required for urgent delivery/unpack
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with Merchandise and Supply Chain teams
- Proactively seek business improvement opportunities around imports processes

**What you’ll bring**:

- Professional Communication
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage many stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Relevant computing skills including intermediate Microsoft Excel (functional in complex data sets and pivot tables)
- Stakeholder management and relationship building irrespective of geographic locations of stakeholders
- Experience in FMCG
- Experience in, or working with, complex supply chains
- Experience dealing with local and international freight and logistics providers
- Strong Problem solving including 'outside the box' solutions
