**About the Role**

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing active supports to people living with disabilities on the Central Coast. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however,** experience with personal care, manual handling, behaviour support with clients of high behaviours of concern and high medical needs will be highly regarded.**

Our **Lifestyle and Community Program** allows you to **work-day shifts** on a casual basis. These supports cater to the individual interests and abilities of our clients and often include social outings, recreational and leisure activities. Our **Day Program **shifts are **Monday to Friday **whilst our **Community** shifts operate **7 days a week**. Your enthusiasm and reliability will be key in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide mobility assistance by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
- Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Help clients reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choice
- Work under mínimal supervision and make appropriate judgement calls ensuring client wellbeing is upheld
- Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team
- Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant

**Skills & Experience**
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
