This is an exciting career development opportunity to join Babcock’s Mission and Support Systems portfolio You will become an integral member of our high-performing Defence team within a key maritime program, where we bring together engineering, design, systems integration and platform management capabilities to sustain the Collins Class submarines.

The Planner will be responsible for undertaking planning activities for the refurbishment of mechanical & electrical equipment in support of Collins Class Submarine maintenance. Your day to day could include:

- Produce and review Purchase Requisition demands for accuracy ensuring all relevant drawings, permits/concession, materials and OQE are referenced.
- Review and provide feedback to Operations team on resource availability to conduct adhoc break in work and also to review schedule impact for Emergent Work demands.
- Work closely with other Program Performance team members in developing, implementing and maintaining program structures.
- Liaise with engineering, purchasing, warehousing, production and others where applicable to ensure data accuracy, initiating updates as required.
- Review and provide feedback to all other impacted Collins teams to review schedule impact for Emergent Work demands.
- Work closely with the scheduler to maintain and update relevant planning related information in the Integrated Master Schedule and Full Cycle Dockings schedules.

You will bring strong attention to detail and effectively find solutions to problems. Additionally; you will also possess:

- Australian Citizenship with a Baseline security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
- Previous planning experience within a maintenance operation.
- In-depth knowledge and use of ERP/MRP systems to conduct maintenance tasks.
- In-depth knowledge and use of Product Structures/Standard Jobs and Bill of Materials.
- Understanding and Interpretation of drawings (Desirable).
- Understanding of material specification/grades (Desirable).
