**Classification grade**: Clerk Grade 1/2

**Salary**: $70,694 - $76,857 p.a. (Plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annualised leave loading.)

**Work type**: Temporary up to 12 months with a possibility of extension. Full-time (35 hours per week, 5 days) or part-time (21-28 hours per week, 3-4 days per week) opportunities available.

**About the role**

We are proactively creating a talent pool for the Paralegal role for current and future full-time & part-time opportunities with the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office (CSO). Applications are invited from high-achieving law students who have successfully completed the second year of a Law Degree and are seeking practical experience within a legal professional environment.

As a paralegal, you would provide legal and administrative support to solicitors in a legal practice group. This would involve drafting and filing court documents, preparing submissions, briefs, and case summaries. You would also conduct legal research and manage matters by utilising practice and document management systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for facilitating efficient billing and recording time spent on legal work.

**Essential requirements**
- Completion of the second year of a Law Degree
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate issues
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to deal with all levels of staff in a confident and professional manner
