**About the Role**

S.O.S (Save Our Service Casuals) are currently looking for a **experienced handyman /maintenance** person to work across multiple childcare centres. The role is designed for those who are eager to excel and are committed to exceeding expectations.

Our staff are dedicated professionals who value the importance of maintaining an optimum level of care and education for all children. We select our staff based on knowledge and values, vision for children and learning, and commitment to families. This is including the maintenance standards of the centres, which is a key part of this role.***
- Detecting any defects, malfunctions and risks, immediately repairing, and refurbishing to ensure a safe environment
- Ensuring Centres are complying with the industry standards and safety regulations and presentation is up to code.
- Completing all tasks as delegated by Maintenance Coordinator
- Maintaining electrical fixtures in good working order, changing light bulbs as needed and performing minor repairs as needed
- Regular inspection of all electrical, mechanical and other equipment’s
- Manage and maintain purchase orders supplies credit card and trade account reconciliation and budget in accordance to scope of work in regards to maintenance of backyard and Playgrounds and Gardens

**Essential**:

- Independent Professional worker, punctual and well presented
- Excellent communication and time management skills, friendly and outgoing personality
- Ideally previous work in childcare centres with an understanding and knowledge of WHS
- Experience and qualifications in testing and tagging electrical equipment (preferred)
- Garden maintenance and/or landscaping experience
- Must have own car and tools/equipment (preferred)
- Flexibility in work arrangements and shifts
- Current working with Children Check
- Police Check
- COVID - 19 Vaccinated

We require someone who is reliable, punctual and hardworking. You must be able to work independently. A keen eye for detail and good customer service skills is important and the ability to maintain high work standards.
