Hay and Harvest Crew

Our clients, based ONLY 180 km north of Perth, is looking for a team of operators to join his team for pre-harvest duties, hay and harvest season. 1-2 people needed to start now, for General Farm Duties, with the remainder of the team starting early/mid September. This is a good opportunity for couples, as both donga and house accommodation available. There is the potential for those with tractor operating skills to gain further experience in agriculture, and prove themselves to be trained on harvest machinery. Those that do well, have the option to stay on for harvest.

**About the roles**:
Pre-hay/harvest duties:

- Mechanical work - setting up farm machinery in time for hay duties
- Firebreaks
- Some spreading
- General Farm Maintenance
- Chainsawing

Hay:
x3 Hay Operators:

- Mowing (day/night shift)
- Swathing (day/night shift)
- Raking (day shift only - longer days)
- Baling
- Stacking bales

Harvest:

- x1 Chaser Bin Driver
- x1 Header Operator
- x1 Ground Crew

**About you**:

- Desirable skills
- Hay Making and Baling experience
- Previous harvest experience
- HR licence
- Previous large broad acre machinery experience to operate mowers, balers and headers;
- Prefer those with own vehicle
- Essential Skills
- Some previous tractor operator skills
- Telehandler and Loader skills
- Mechanically minded
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to do multiple duties - not just operate one machine

**What's on Offer**:

- Accommodation: Either Donga wiht double bed, or 3-4 bedroom house - suitable for both singles and couples
- Meals: Evening meals provided during busy hay then busy harvest times
- Hourly rate: $30-$40 depending on experience
- Quick team break at the coast between hay and harvest
