**The Opportunity**

As the Data Migration Lead, you will lead the development and implementation of a data migration plan to enable the smooth and successful transition of data into our new Student Management System including overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading of data. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration plan
- Lead a team of data migration specialists in ensuring project goals and milestones are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the data migration schedule including liaising with the core SMS vendor and other SMEs, and identify and issues that may affect timeline
- Prepare and present solution options and recommendations to the program governance board for action, as and when required
- Liaise with other internal teams such as Cyber Risk and Resilience to ensure security and performance requirements are met in plans
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders related to the project, including non-technical stakeholders as required
- Provide mentoring and guidance to other members of the team

**About YOU**

We are looking for someone who can play a lead role in this transformative project. As such, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to translate technical requirements into non-technical terms in liaising with internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the following:

- Demonstrated experience in managing the data migration to a large scale SaaS/COTS solution within a large and complex enterprise environment
- Experience in leading data migration projects with a knowledge of data classification and lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of modern data governance and management practices
- Hands on experience working with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Prior experience with higher education student management systems would be advantageous
