This role is for a 12-month fixed term period and can be worked on a full-time or part-time basis.

As the Employment Practices Specialist, you’ll play a lead role in delivering a range of projects and initiatives relating to employment practices, legislative and award compliance, policies and harmonisation of terms, conditions across the People & Culture function.

You’ll be focused on:
- Supporting the Group Manager, Employment Practices & Reward with key project activities relating to legislative and award compliance, including research, documentation, facilitation of workshops, delivering briefing sessions and other project activities.- Assessing regulatory and legislative changes that impact on nib’s employment practices and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance- Leading the review of nib employment terms and conditions across all entities globally with the aim to align conditions and develop a global employment agreement template to the extent possible.- Contributing to the development, implementation and review of People & Culture policies, procedures and frameworks to ensure alignment to the strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and nib’s policy governance framework.

Let’s talk about you

As an experienced People & Culture practitioner, you have a track record of leading projects relating to legislative/regulatory change, as well as aligning employment conditions and practices across multiple jurisdictions or industrial instruments. You’re adept at assessing change impacts and developing recommendations that balance the needs of nib and our people.

You have first class stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to form trusted relationships across the business to influence and drive strategic initiatives and people solutions. Your strong communication skills enable you to translate and adapt complex information to suit a range of audiences.

Furthermore, we’re looking for someone with:
- A degree qualification in Human Resources, Management, Commerce, or a related discipline- Knowledge of relevant employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, NES & Modern Awards- Sound planning and time management skills to enable competing priorities to be completed simultaneously- Experience in writing and developing business documents and policies
