Byron Aged Care (BAC) is a boutique 41 bed aged care facility located in the heart of beautiful Byron Bay, caring for residents in a homelike setting on 1 acre of grounds within walking distance to the beach. We are looking for a Full Time** Kitchenhand **to join the team. 5 days per week including weekends 06.00 - 14.30.

The role is to effectively work all aspects of kitchen and catering operations, You will be responsible for the meal prep, cooking, portioning and serving to ensure dietary requirements for the residents are met.

It is paramount in this role, your commitment to best practice and continuous improvement and ensure knowledge of contemporary food safety practices remains up to date and adhere to Food Safety and Hygiene Standards.

**_ About You_**
- Ideally Kitchenhand experience within Aged Care or similar commercial environment essential
- Understanding of special dietary requirements including allergies/intolerances & textured modified meals & fluids
- Understanding & management of Food Safety Standards
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously & without supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly & effectively ensuring cultural sensitivity is respected
- Competent in food preparation, cooking & plating
- Caring nature with a positive attitude & works well under pressure
