**About the role**

The teacher will be responsible for organising and delivering engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) units to international students within the Deakin College Foundation Program. This includes coordinating and creating learning materials, delivering lessons, providing academic support to students and supervision and marking of assignments and exams.

**The person we seek must have the following**:

- A degree or diploma of at least three years full-time or equivalent
- A suitable TESOL qualification or qualification that contains TESOL as a method
- Appropriate TESOL teaching experience or have been formally mentored by a senior staff member with this experience

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- Experience in creating engaging and developmental learning materials for delivery of units (English or other)
- Experience in creating engaging and developmental learning materials for delivery of units
- A comprehensive understanding of pathway programs and their articulation with university courses
- Demonstrated understanding of and empathy for a multicultural environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and initiate change
- Demonstrated ability to work with changing priorities and meeting deadlines
