**About the role**:
The Development and Environmental Compliance Team is responsible for investigating complaints and resolving non-complying and illegal land use activities as it relates to development, swimming pool safety and environmental protection.

Due to a recent strategic review and internal staff promotions we are seeking proactive and energetic Development Compliance Officers with experience in investigating planning, development and environmental related offences either in isolation or as part of a project specific compliance program.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation affecting Local Government with particular reference to the _Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979_, _Local Government Act 1993 _and the _Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997_.
- Experience in the investigation and complaint resolution process in relation to development and environmental.
- Experience in the preparation of relevant written reports and computer skills.
- Strong organisational and time management.
- Working knowledge of regulatory enforcement tools and regulatory investigation techniques, including the collection of and giving.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, including but not limited to Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) qualification and/or considerable experience in a similar role.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contraindication Certificate upon commencement.
