**About us**
Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate and maintain long duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state’s energy system.

We are playing a critical role in helping to meet the Queensland Government’s renewable energy targets and net zero emissions by 2050, to provide the long-term storage and reliability needed to power Queensland’s clean energy future.

**The role**

As a key member of the Systems and Reporting team within the PMO you will undertake core systems data analysis and develop BI dashboards that informs Queensland Hydro. These responsibilities include:

- Data analysis of key corporate systems, establish interfaces, and build composite queries to enable cross-platform reporting.
- Design, develop, implement and maintain analytical tools and solutions including systems such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Utilise SQL, Python, R-language and DAX queries to extract and analyse data sets to inform organisational reporting needs.
- Additional front-end portal development associated with menus, forms, dashboards to allow ‘self-service’ access to data and visualisation.
- Review and improve existing systems, business processes and process automation.
- Communicate and present findings and recommendations.
- Provide training to the staff in using analytical tools and solutions.
- Work closely with corporate IT service providers and systems implementation team.
- Deliver ongoing and end-of-month reporting requirements.

**About you**
To be considered for this position you will ideally possess:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Engineering, Project Management, IT or a related discipline.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced SQL and DAX skills, experience with BI tools, and experience in dealing both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Proven analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve data-related problems within a large project environment.
- Ability to understand corporate systems such as scheduling, financial systems and processes to enhance reporting requirements.
- Experience in working with key systems such as Primavera P6, Prism, SharePoint and Office 365 suites is desirable.
- Understand dimensional data modeling concepts and practices.
- Experience with predictive modeling tools and techniques to determine LAG and Lead trends.
