**Position Information**
- Schofields Public School is located in the North West growth area of Sydney. The current enrolment is 979 with 65% of students from a non-English speaking background and 33 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The community is growing rapidly and it is anticipated that the student population will be over 1000 in early 2023.

The school enjoys strong support from parents, families and the local community. Our teachers are committed to providing high quality education in an inclusive and innovative environment so that all students are active participants in their learning and inspired to be their best.

In 2020, the upgrade to school facilities was completed to accommodate the growing student community. The new facilities feature shared collaborative learning spaces for students and staff including three learning spaces to cater for students with additional needs. A collaborative team-teaching approach is central to our plans to build high collective teacher efficacy.

**Specific Selection Criteria**

Approval to teach Infants and Primary, K-6
- Evidence of well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to work collaboratively in a whole school environment to build and nurture a positive school culture and a sense of belonging.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire both experienced and early career teachers to plan, teach, and evaluate the impact of evidence-informed teaching strategies for improved student outcomes in literacy or numeracy.
- Evidence of strong classroom management skills and wellbeing practices with the capacity to cater for a diverse range of students including those with additional needs.
- Willingness and commitment to extra-curricular activities in one or more of the following areas (eg debating, choir, dance, student voice, sport, sustainability/gardening and/or technology).
