Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

**What you'll be doing**

To provide an effective, efficient quality admission booking service. Provide accurate information/statistics to hospital and Department of Health Information systems (iPM and eMr).
Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable a high standard of customer service.
Ensure timely and accurate booking service for emergency and trauma surgery and Endoscopy waiting lists.

Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation. The applicant must be certified as compliant with Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases before employment can commence.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Demonstrated Effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills.
- Previous Experience in admission/booking procedures.
- Demonstrated administration experience working in a busy environment with proven capacity to show initiative, problem solving, prioritisation and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of iPM, EMR Patient Information Systems and Health Fund Election and incentives.
- Medical Terminology Certificate or Relevant Experience.
- Working Knowledge of NSW Health Admission Guidelines.
- Knowledge of Theatre/endoscopy booking procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
