**About the role**

We are looking to hire a Terminal Planner to support the team at our Acacia Ridge Terminal. The role reports to the Area Supervisor and you will participate on a roster covering 24/7 operations. In this role you will control and ensure the safe and effective daily planning of all activities at the Terminal.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage planning and tracking of arriving and departing freight train services
- Processing freight and operating documentation into a computerised system
- Ensure all departing train complies with internal and external regulatory requirements
- Ensure all freight movements occur efficiently whilst delivering high quality customer service
- Plan daily terminal train / shunt activities and coordinate with Terminal Supervisors, Shunt Planners and Linehaul Supervisors
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required for planning activities
- Support Facility Coordinator in planning contractor activities on site
- Plan and communicate attach and detach for train services

**About you**

We are looking for someone with a flexible mindset because not two days are the same in this role. You are not afraid of showing initiative, taking responsibility and you think it’s satisfying to learn new things. Other than that, you will have:

- Experience working in Supply Chain, Transport, Rail or other relevant industry
- Experience with transport planning or similar
- Excellent customer service experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Advanced Intermediate computer / Microsoft Office skills
