**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join the Strategy and Improvement team. Reporting to the Manager Strategy and Improvement, this role provides business and administration support to the team, ensuring that the objectives of Council and the Strategy and Improvement team are met.
You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of reports, forms and templates, data extraction and analysis, processing of purchase orders and responding to general enquiries.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position
- Experience providing support and assistance to senior level staff and management
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with preparation of high quality written documents
- Skills and experience in data extraction, cleansing and analysis
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, identify priorities, meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently and effectively
- Ability to utilise problem solving skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a team environment.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 35 hour week, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 9 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,350.06 to $1,552.57 per week per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
