**The Role**
We are seeking a high performing, motivated and enthusiastic APS 6 Project Support Officer (PSO). Your strong administrative knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be the keys to your success in this role. You will be required to demonstrate a commitment to service and an agile approach in an environment where priorities can change rapidly.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintenance of project records, asset management, data entry, process development and simple procurement
- Scheduling meetings and taking minutes
- Providing governance support to the Project Sponsor
- Handling project documentation and generating AIR6500-1 reports
- Communicating across projects and stakeholders with information request, schedule updates, and reports
- Co-ordinating incoming requests and manage competing priorities in line with team objectives
- Assist in preparing project-related documents, including status updates, budgets, discussion papers, and documentation required by the Defence Capability Lifecycle
- Ensuring that the AIR6500-1 responsible mailboxes are maintained and co-ordinated in a timely manner.

**About our Team**
AIR6500-1, as part of Air Capability Division in Air Force Headquarters, is responsible for the delivery of the Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS), providing the integration of ADF sensors, deciders and effectors in support of the Joint Force. This administration and project support focused position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a small team of experts consisting of Australian Public Servants, members of the Australian Defence Force and Defence Contractors.
- Will have the ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment and be adaptable to changing strategic circumstances and project direction
- Will have strong communication and writing skills
- Display a positive attitude
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- Display strong problem solving skills
- Will be able to demonstrate previous experience in administrative roles
- Minimum work experience of 5 years Government or Defence
- Desirable for previous capability or acquisition experience
- Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of NV1 Government Security Clearance or higher
