Production Supervisor

APS Adelaide Profile Services is Australia's leading Steel Processing business. Partnering with Bluescope Steel, we supply Australian made product across a variety of industries including Defence, Government Infrastructure, Mining & Resources, and Renewable Energy.

We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our company and support our growing team.
Full time position Monday to Friday with flexibility.

Responsibilities will include:

- Ensure all necessary resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel, are available for production activities.
- Organise workflows to optimise efficiency and coordinate with relevant departments to secure resources as needed.
- Coordinate the implementation of production schedules to meet production targets.
- Oversee daily activities and ensure that production runs according to plan while making necessary adjustments to optimise productivity.
- Act as the first line of defence and identify and address any issues on the production floor to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
- Monitor the operation of production machinery to ensure smooth functioning.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff, oversee repairs and upgrades as needed,.
- Develop schedules for cleaning and maintaining machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Supervise product inspection processes to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures and adjust production processes to maintain product quality.
- Develop strategies and plans, including resource allocation and capacity planning.
- Analyse data and performance KPIs to identify areas for improvement and optimise production processes to achieve production goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to production teams, set goals and ensure alignment with APS objectives.

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum experience of 5+ years as a Production Supervisor
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of ERP systems
- Physically fit, driven and passionate
- Safety focused and high attention to detail
