**About the role**:
The role is a key leadership position within the Infrastructure Department and Property Division of Victoria Police, reporting to the Director Property Division. You will be responsible for leading the planning function for Victoria Police's built infrastructure across the State, translating organisational vision into longer term strategic facility plans and annual facility development plans that provide Victrola Police with the facilities it requires to deliver efficient, effective policing services to the community. It involves working with multiple executive level stakeholders within Victoria Police, across government and the building sector including architects, quantity surveyors, developers, planners. The role involves forecasting future service delivery needs, planning where new facilities are required, maintaining design guidelines and standards for new facilities, developing business cases for funding, land acquisition and transition of approved funded capital projects to the delivery team.

**Your duties will include**:

- Horizon scanning to forecast changes in demand for policing services, community safety and service delivery initiatives and understanding how these can be enabled through effective facility planning
- Translating organisational vision into longer term strategic facility development plans
- Establishing annual facility development plans that enable implementation of the strategic facility plan
- Working with multiple executive level stakeholders within Victoria Police, across government and the building sector including architects, quantity surveyors, developers, planners.
- Maintaining design guidelines and standards for new facilities
- Developing business cases for funding to develop new or replacement facilities
- Land acquisition and
- Transition of approved funded capital projects to the delivery team.
- Actively contributing to the Properties Division leadership team

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- A degree in engineering, town planning, or architecture
- Demonstrated experience in strategic facility planning, asset management, facility management and/or statutory planning processes
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication & presentation skills (both written and verbal)
- A strong attention to detail
- Proven experience in relationship and stakeholder management
- Experience reviewing and understanding strategic planning, design and construction documents

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
