**About the Role**
A fantastic opportunity for a Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury Finance team based in our Melbourne office

The Treasury Analyst assists in the execution and maintenance of structured finance transitions for the Bank. The role is important to the optimisation of funding structures to minimise costs for the bank, assists in originating and maintaining internal warehouses, team securitisation transactions and contributes to team projects.

You will be assisting in management and delivery of cross-functional projects, managing the project team and maintaining internal & external stakeholder relationships (investment banks, investors, warehouse providers, rating agencies and trustees).

Your main focus areas will be:
**Market Transactions**
- Assist in ME’s structured financial market transactions, including securitisation transactions in accordance with legal documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements of APS120.
- Preparation of a pool of underlying assets for securitisation deals which provides the best outcome for the trust, investors and ME based on the recommendation of arranger and joint lead managers.
- Assist in management and oversight of stakeholder (financial institutions, legal counsel, rating agencies, trustees and investors) relationships to ensure efficient delivery of secured funding programme.

**Warehouse Funding**
- Preparation of pool data for substitutions and uplifts ensuring the pool meets the eligibility criteria. Liaise with Rating Agencies on queries and credit enhancement levels
- Assist in the restructure of trusts (warehouses and originating funds) to ensure the optimal outcome for the trusts and ME
- Provide analytical and data driven insights into the optimal securitisation pool of underlying assets to meet regulatory and prudential requirements

**Projects / Tasks**
- Develop and maintain regular compliance reporting to provide insightful portfolio monitoring to effectively identify risks/opportunities
- Development, testing and implementation of deriving conforming loans through Insight
- Identifying defects within the core banking system and working with the business to solve issues
- Analyse non-conforming loans and provide solutions to optimise the level of assets available for securitisation
- Completion of invoices
- Provide relevant market and ME specific insights which contribute to recommendations for funding and strategy optimisation
- Participation in business projects that allow for the successful implementation of ME’s funding and financial market strategies

**About you**

It is a requirement that you have knowledge and understanding of securitisation markets, prudential and regulatory standards under APS120. Strong knowledge and understanding of how to undertake a securitisation market deal including analysing data, understanding structural features, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and managing the various aspects of the deal.
