**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Older People’s Mental Health Service.

The Older People’s Mental Health Service is a specialist service established for the assessment and treatment of older people with mental health presentations. The prevalence of cognitive impairment is elevated in this population due to the increased incidence of dementia, delirium, and the impact of chronic mental health conditions across the lifespan.

The Clinical Neuropsychologist will primarily assess and interpret neuropsychological test measures in order to answer complex clinical questions around underlying neuropathological processes and navigate issues of decision-making capacity. Communicating results with the Multi-Disciplinary team and other key stakeholder to facilitate appropriate treatment and management. Providing support to the team with intake duties and completion of comprehensive mental health assessments and support the team in meeting the consumer’s treatment needs. The role will also support the delivery of education to the team and external stakeholders and provide input into research programs investigating the efficiency of neuropsychological interventions and service development for eligible older people.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Recognised post-graduate qualifications in Clinical Neuropsychology, full psychologist registration with AHPRA and specialist endorsement in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology, or working towards endorsement through a registrar program
3. Knowledge and experience in conducting neuropsychological assessments and report writing, demonstrated by competence, initiative, innovation, responsibility and professional recognition.
4. Knowledge of and/or experience in assessing decision-making capacity.
5. Commitment to liaising and supporting consumers and facilitating consumer involvement in the development of their own treatment/management plans within a recovery framework.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
7. Current unrestricted NSW Drivers License
