**Your Opportunity**

The Shopfront Youth Legal Centre is a free legal service for homeless and disadvantaged young people. It is operated by Mission Australia in association with The Salvation Army and the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

This role is to manage and complete a range of administrative tasks vital to efficient running of the program. This role will assist with client intake and social support, maintaining links between legal and casework aspects of the services and building networks with other services.

**Key responsibilities**
- Assist in dealing with new referrals and enquiries
- Assist The Shopfront caseworker to create and update individualised case management files for clients in line with Mission Australia protocols.
- Provide ad hoc social support and referrals for clients, and help build capacity for Shopfront lawyers and other staff to make referrals for clients
- Help to build and maintain networks with other services
- Complete a range of administrative duties for the efficient running of the service including assisting team members and Program Manager with statistics, reports, referral letters, website, internal resources, directories etc.

**Requirements for Success**
- Demonstrated experience in administrative and case management role
- Demonstrated experience in working with/advocating for young people with complex needs
- An interest in working with young people with legal issues, especially those who are involved in the crime justice system
- Competent in using MS office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
