The Manager Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights role is responsible for bringing together customer and research survey data with business insights and commercial thinking to inform both Marketing strategies and to optimise Marketing performance. This role draws on a range of analytical and customer inputs alongside marketing needs and tactics to ultimately increase marketing effectiveness and build brand equity in Australia and offshore markets.

This role has a deep understanding of a wide range of research and analytical methodologies and can build business context with the airline industry and competitors. It recognises the needs and drivers of Airline and Loyalty customers, and is able to adapt to a rapidly changing consumer landscape.

This role leads marketing-based insights (in collaboration with peers in Analytics and Marketing), path to conversion related to Marketing influence, identifying opportunities and focus areas to deliver against business needs, maximise revenue, customer engagement and marketing effectiveness. This role understands the bigger picture contribution of brand to marketing, as well as the effectiveness of our communications. The role works closely with the Customer Insights team to deliver key Brand Health survey requirements with analysis and reporting across Australia and our key global markets to enhance marketing and brand activities, as well as the Marketing team to understand advertising effectiveness.

This role requires considerable collaboration, coordination and influence across several teams including Airline Analytics, Customer Insights, Marketing, Channels, Product and Commercial teams across retail, business and offshore portfolios. This is considered a senior role within Airline Analytics and will be required to advise at all levels across Brand and Marketing.

You’ll have:

- A passion and curiosity for proactively seeking insights, and the ability to craft a compelling and simple story for your recommendations
- 10+ years in roles related to Marketing, Market Research, Strategy and/or Consumer Insights roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related field.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- A thought-leader with a passion for developing innovative marketing solutions through the use of data, insights and experience.
- Proven track record in delivering outstanding results in a complex, high paced business environment.
- Proven track record in developing strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to turn data and insights into easy to digest presentations and packs.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to executive level audiences.
- Ability to influence senior management and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in survey analysis programs and Microsoft suite
