**A little bit about us**:
The Infrastructure Investment Division plays a key role in the planning, management and delivery of major road and rail infrastructure projects funded through the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). The Division develops policy advice to Government on infrastructure investment, and works closely with agencies in the Australian, state and territory governments on issues such as infrastructure planning, funding, delivery and financing.

The Program, Policy and Budget Branch works closely with the Ministers’ Offices and senior executive across various areas of the Department to develop and oversee complex policy initiatives for the Government’s $123 billion infrastructure investment pipeline.

**The opportunity we have available**:
The Program, Financial Management and IMS Section manages and reports on the overall financial commitment to transport infrastructure for the Australian Government. The team manages the financials of the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP), which includes more than 750 projects all over Australia, as well as reporting on the $123 billion Infrastructure Investment Pipeline. We also provide key advice to Government and Executive to enable decision making on the Government’s infrastructure investments to develop Australia’s land transport network.

**What will you do?**:
In this role, you will:

- Work across the Division to manage project budgets and state payments, including the day to day cash-flow management between projects;
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and advice on the overall financials of the IIP and infrastructure pipeline to support the Executives and Ministers in their strategic decision making; and
- Assist in the bi-annual update to Cabinet on the Infrastructure Investment Program, including the preparation of financials for the Government budget management systems
