We are on the lookout for a compassionate, empathic and enthusiastic **Kitchen hand/s **to join our team and empower our customers to live **their life, their way**. **This role/s will be **part time** and based at our Woodvale day centre to support our chef and our customers.

**As a Kitchen hand**

Working hours are between Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm, and you will be assisting the Chef to cook 20 to 30 meals in the Woodvale Social Centre and 15 to 20 meals for delivery each day Monday to Friday. The Delivery meals are dispatched by drivers or kitchenhand in company vehicle, before lunch is served to in-house customers each day. We also provide a birthday cake when a customer has a birthday

Kitchen Hand responsibilities also include:

- Preparation and cooking of meals for the centre and for the "Meals on Wheels"
- Assist with planning menus
- Assist with ordering food and cleaning products required for the program
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and food safety standards
- Ensure a high standard of food quality, consistency or preparation and presentation
- Manage the storage of food
- Demonstrate teamwork and accountability
- Deliver meals as required
- Potential backfilling of Chef role to cover leave

- You have a heart for people and passion for food
- Administration and planning skills
- Knowledge of food standards
- National Police Clearance (no less than 3 months old)
- NDIS Worker Screening check (or willing to obtain)
- Flu vaccination
- Drivers licence
- Kitchen Hand experience. No qualification necessary however will be desirable.
