Join our finance team as a Payroll Officer and play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the p2p group
As a Payroll Officer, you will work closely with the payroll supervisor and payroll officer in Parramatta on a permanent basis. You will receive comprehensive training on all aspects of the role right from the beginning. Your main responsibilities will include processing payroll requirements end to end, providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and timely transactions, and meeting deadlines. You will be dealing with a high volume of internal and external customers, building our reputation with external clients, supporting the front office in meeting client needs, and ensuring payroll compliance. Your role will be critical in helping the business function efficiently and optimally.
Payroll Processing across weekly, fortnightly, monthly pay cycle your main mandate is to:
- Ensure payroll deadlines are met with a commitment to a high standard and positive customer service experience for clients.
- Responsible for accurate processing of labour hire contractors and outsourced payroll for weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs.
- Calculate superannuation, PAYG, and Payroll Tax calculations and payments.
- Timely set up of new employee profiles and follow up for missing payroll information.
- Provide high level of standard and customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Accurate filing and documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database for quick referral and data integrity.
Payroll Reconciliations
- Complete weekly pay run journals.
- Conduct weekly payroll reconciliation.
- Assist with month-end and payroll reporting.
Invoicing
- Timely invoicing of clients.
- Manage invoicing for temporary contractors' clients.
- Respond to client's invoicing queries promptly.
Customer Service
- Act as the first point of contact to answer pay and outsourced payroll client queries with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Provide effective customer service for employee and client queries, providing timely resolutions on a day-to-day basis.
Compliance
- Ensure Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and EBA interpretations are implemented correctly and at the right level as required by Fair Work Australia.
- Process weekly and monthly PAYG to ATO.
- Submit superannuation to clearing house on a quarterly basis.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of staff data.
- Prepare and lodge monthly, semi-annual, and annual payroll tax returns.
