**ATLAS** recruitment are currently working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in their search for a Lead Mechanical Designer/Modeller to join their Sydney team.

The role will be primarily focusing on various complex Water infrastructure projects across NSW.

**The key responsibilities of the role will include;**
- Develop general and mechanical design documentation as required (concept and detailed design drawings) including equipment and pipework detailing, supports and platform detailing, including layout and general arrangement drawings
- Support the Atlas Digital Engineering Lead in building mechanical libraries and accelerating our digital engineering maturity (including creation of templates and families)
- Work with the Atlas Digital engineering Lead to use available CAD software to automate and streamline the management and production of drawings
- Ensure consistency of design drawings in accordance with Client drawing office procedure and AS1100
- Deliver measurable benefits and outcomes for the program of works
- Manage multiple projects and coordinate works with team (including overseas resources) to meet deliverables timelines
- Undertake 3D Laser Scanning works on site (internal training provided), including site general inspections

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Certificate or Diploma in computer aided drafting (CAD) or mechanical engineering diploma/degree
- Demonstrated experience with AutoDESK AEC Suite, AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, Revit, Recap and Navisworks
- Advanced knowledge using AutoCAD 3D
- Knowledge of working with Point Clouds

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 5+ years' experience in water / wastewater (or equivalent process-based industry)
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D/3D, Advanced Steel, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Solidworks and / or Tekla,
- Experience in working (and coordinating) with remote offshore teams
- Experience in coordination of multi-disciplinary drafting design and coordinating multiple projects at one time
- Experience managing and working with point cloud capture technology
