**DEPARTMENT**

The Department of Respiratory Medicine, within the Alfred Hospital, requires a part time administrative support for its Sleep Laboratory. Respiratory Medicine has a unique and comprehensive spectrum of expertise in Australia across clinical and basic allergy and advanced adult lung diseases, including severe asthma, emphysema, interstitial lung diseases, sleep apnoea, cystic fibrosis (CF; State Centre of Excellence) and lung transplantation. It comprises of four Clinical Services, supported by the Bronchoscopy Service and the Physiology Service (including the Lung Function Laboratory).

**ROLE**

This role will focus on providing support to our home sleep monitoring service and duties will include, creating appointments, answering phones, patient enquiries and supporting the wider sleep laboratory team with administrative duties as directed.
- To undertake Administration Receptionist duties within the Lung Transplant Service, Respiratory Medicine, including support for clinics, patient appointments, billing and general administrative duties.
- Provide support to all service areas as required by the Executive Assistant/Clinic Coordinator.
- To contribute to the operational efficiency of the Respiratory Medicine administrative support team under the supervision of the Executive Assistant/Clinic Coordinator.

**SKILLS**

Experience working within a medical environment and familiarity with medical terminology will be highly regarded, however, applicants with strong customer service and administrative skills from other fields will also be considered.
