Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts. Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.

We are currently looking for a number of experienced technicians (Electrical and Mechanical) to join our specialist team at our Nowra based site.

As experienced technician you will be joining one of our teams that support the Australian Defence Force or Emergency Services. With all our roles focussing on aviation or aerospace support, experience in this area would be an advantage but we are also looking for experienced mechanical or electrical technicians looking to take their career in a new direction.

Your day to day role will see you joining a supportive team to;
Support manufacturing, maintenance and repair activities

Fault find on a variety of parts / equipment

Service and fit new parts where required

Support design and development activities

Mechanical or electrical trade experience, AME, Mechanic, Electrician, etc.

A systematic and disciplined approach to repairs and maintenance

A willingness to learn

An ability to find and remedy faults

You will be provided with an opportunity to learn, work in an aviation / aerospace / defence environment, and support the delivery of defence and rescue services across Australia.
