**The Employer**:
Our clients are successful civil construction business owners, encompassing four family-owned pastoral enterprises within Victoria, with Berrybank Station being one notable aggregation. Within this aggregation, four adjoining properties span 4000 hectares at Lismore, VIC. The enterprise's land use is split between 2800 hectares dedicated to cropping and the remainder to livestock, supporting 5000 prime-line ewes. Operations are backed by a family-owned corporate structure dedicated to innovative and progressive practices, aiming for further investment to increase sheep numbers and expand cropping areas.

The cropping division focuses on dryland broadacre farming, growing Wheat, Canola, and Faba beans and incorporating Clover in the rotation for grazing purposes. The property is well-equipped with modern machinery from leading manufacturers like John Deere, New Holland, and Case. It anticipates the arrival of a new John Deere self-propelled sprayer in September 2024, and harvesting is outsourced to contractors.

**The Role**:
The Operational Cropping Manager will take on significant responsibilities, including managing Berrybank Station’s cropping program. This will involve close collaboration with agronomists to develop and implement the annual cropping plan effectively. Leadership is crucial to the position, as the individual will lead a team that maintains a safe working environment. You will report directly to the General Manager of Pastoral Operations and work alongside a livestock overseer, with a team of full-time staff members and occasional additional support as needed.

Another key responsibility is ensuring that all machinery and equipment are kept in optimal condition, underlining the importance of regular maintenance and care. Given the complexities and demands of this role, applicants must have prior experience in a similar capacity, highlighting the need for combined practical skills and leadership qualities.

**The Offer**:
Lismore is situated on the Hamilton Highway 170 kilometres west of Melbourne. It is just a few kilometres from the northernmost lakes in the Colac Lakes system, which includes Lake Corangamite and Lake Colac.

Berrybank Station is 10 minutes from Lismore, 60 minutes from Geelong, and 60 minutes from the Great Ocean Road. Lismore services include Lismore Primary School, Country Fire Authority, Lions Club and District Health Care Centre, a supermarket, and a postage service. Nearby, Derrinallum has a preschool, a primary school, and a P-12 college.
