We are currently recruiting for **Shovel Operators.** We are offering this role on a 7:7:7:7 (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off) roster where you can drive in and out of site The Shovel Operator, operates the shovels, loaders and excavators as directed in a safe, effective and efficient manner to meet operational requirements
**The role**:
- Operate a variety of mobile equipment within the shift to ensure optimum productivity in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate 230 tonne dump truck
- 50 tonne water truck
- Identification of potential hazards or work practices/procedures requiring corrective action
- Contribute to and participate in a flexible and motivated production crew, committed to the achievement of quality production goals
- Ensure all machinery is safe to operate
**About you**:
- W.A. “HR” Class driver’s license
- Appropriate certificates of competency
- Previous heavy earthmoving experience
- Familiarity with open cut mining/quarry operations
- Previous experience in the mining industry
- Self motivated and disciplined
- Sound communication skills
- Flexibility
- Able to fit into varied groups - team player
