**Job description**:
**About the Organisation**
Our client is a Federal Government Agency looking to engage an APS4/5 HR Payroll and Reporting Officer for a 12 month non-ongoing contract with possible extension.

**About the Role**
The Human Resources team are responsible for the provision of the full range of human resource services and advice to assist the Office meet its objectives. The Office has an outsourced payroll function that is coordinated and overseen by the HR team. The Office currently uses Aurion as its HRMIS.

The occupant of this position is responsible for the day to day operations of the payroll and establishment, data analytics, reporting requirements and supporting other HR activities as required.

**Duties**
- Extract, manipulate and analyse data using a number of systems for reporting and payroll requirements.
- Use data and analysis to evaluate corporate initiatives and improve existing process and systems.
- Administer and coordinate payroll activities via the outsourced payroll provider to ensure the Office’s business processes are continued.
- Develop and deliver a HR reporting framework.
- Provide advice and interpretation of employment conditions, policies, and entitlements (such as payroll, long service leave, superannuation, prior service, etc.)
- Provide support and assistance with the HR team’s obligations and administration as required.

**Eligibility**
To be eligible for employment, applicants must be Australian Citizens. This position requires Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a police check and clearance at this level.
