This large well-known client-side organisation based in Newcastle NSW are currently seeking a contract Learning and Development Specialist.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this role is pivotal in ensuring the systematic and aligned training solutions are implemented throughout the organisation. The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation and reporting of programs and initiatives across a range of programs delivered under the Learning and Development suite of organisational programs.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Managing business partnerships and undertake operational planning with key stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of L&D objectives are delivered
- Integration of existing training records into the LMS
- Ensure employees have the required skills and behaviours to do their jobs to the required standards
- Managing the development, implementation and maintenance of operational policies, procedures and processes for L&D programs and initiatives
- Motivate, coach and support stakeholders to embed learning and improve performance
- Organise and co-ordinate events
- Research and source training programs

To be successful in this role you will have previous learning and development experience in the end-to-end delivery of professional learning and development programs that enhance workforce capability, improving results and engaging with a variety of stakeholders. You will build strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coupled with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
