**The Service**

**KU Kogarah Children’s Centre, located within walking distance to Kogarah Station **is a 75 place long day care providing care and an educational program to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.

In addition to the high-quality well-rounded programs, KU Kogarah specialises in cultural competence and inclusion and incorporate this into our program through our cultural program which includes the continuous learning of new cultural traditions, and honouring differences.

This is a centre that has been assessed by the NSW Department of Education and Training under the National Quality Standards and are proud to be rated as Exceeding.

**The Role**

KU Kogarah is looking for an **educator with a **completed **diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care **who values partnering with families, is a team player, takes initiative and wants to join a capable and dedicated team.

**On offer is a permanent part time position working Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day (1:45pm - 5:45pm).**

**_* _**_We would consider someone looking to work 4 hours per day _(1:45pm - 5:45pm) _either 2 or 3 days instead of 5 days. _

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate & Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
