**Role type: Permanent, Full-time**

The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors is a private Registered Training Organisation and private provider of Higher Education specialising in the delivery of external education programs in counselling, community services, financial counselling, youth work, relationship counselling and various business courses.

**About the role**:
This is a **full-time office-based **position with a 6-month probationary period. The work hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. The role is also available on a part-time basis with a minimum of 0.6 of a full-time role.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Develop and conduct online lectures and tutorials.
- Encourage and monitor the engagement of students in their studies
- Mark student assessments and provide feedback in accordance with assessment and moderation policies.
- Identify and liaise with students at risk and establish individual learning plans as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge and skills in counselling and in higher education teaching and learning

**The successful applicant will ideally have**:

- A Counselling (or related field) qualification at least at Master level.
- Demonstrated teaching ability in relevant fields at a tertiary level.
- Demonstrated ability to meet marking and student feedback timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with both internal and external parties.
- Demonstrated continuing professional development in relevant field. ‘Professional Development’ includes further studies, membership of industry associations, attendance at industry workshops and functions and/or attending supervision.
- Eligible for membership of a relevant industry association.
