We are **Ave Maria**, a registered NDIS provider based in Dapto, in the Illawarra region, and providing specialty care for the disability sector.

We are currently looking for a Full-Time **Rostering Officer **with NDIS experience to join us in our **Dapto office.**

**The Opportunity**

As a Rostering Officer, you are accountable for effective and timely development of rosters to meet service delivery requirements while ensuring participants preferences and staff skill mix/specific trainings requirements are considered.

You will be working with a passionate and supportive team who are committed to working together and supporting you in your role while you undertake meaningful work that enriches the lives of people within our community.

You will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, excellent client service focus, the ability to influence and negotiate with staff and the aptitude to support the effectiveness of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Roster Creation and Maintenance**: Generate fortnightly rosters using Flow Logic, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, award agreements, and service needs. Develop and maintain schedules for support workers to ensure all shifts are covered, including regular, on-call, and emergency shifts.
- **Shift Management**: Manage staff availability, preferences, and qualifications when allocating shifts Adjust rosters to accommodate staff availability, client needs, and any unforeseen changes such as sick leave or emergencies.
- **Staffing Solutions**: Proactively address staffing gaps and shortages to ensure continuity of care. Provide user support and conduct training sessions as required. Lead the establishment and redesign of procedures and processes to improve the Scheduling/Rostering processes.
- **Timesheet Approval**:Review and approve of timesheets on a daily basis. Review shift notes as required.
- **Data Analysis**: Monitor and analyse rostering data to identify areas for improvement and optimise efficiency. Monitor and provide regular reports of over time data.
- **Communication**: Respond to roster inquiries from staff. Contact participants to ensure service requirements are met. Contact participants to advise of rostering changes where required. Liaise with Management, HR, Accommodation Managers and staff to address rostering concerns and feedback.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rostering activities.
- **Compliance/Legislation Awareness**: Ensure that all schedules comply with relevant laws, organisational policies, and client care requirements Stay informed of changes in legislation and award agreements impacting rostering practices.
- **Onboarding/Offboarding**: Collaborate with HR to onboard/offboard employees into the rostering system.
- **Efficiency Recommendations**: Analyse data related to rostering efficiency and make recommendations for improvements.
- **Administrative Support**: Provide general administrative support to teams on an ad-hoc basis.
- **Work Environment**: Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

You will have:

- Competent use of all Microsoft Software systems and including rostering software (preferably Flow Logic).
- Thorough understanding of the SCHADS award
- Minimum of 2 years concurrent rostering experience in disability/aged care
- Excellent time management skills
- Participate in on-call after hours roster when required.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and negotiation skills
- High levels of data entry accuracy & attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full Australian working rights
- NSW Driver’s license
