We are currently looking for a Truck Offsider to support us in Nambour
The role you could play
In this role you will provide an effective pick-up, delivery service, and preparation of stock whilst fostering and maintaining a high level of customer service, to enhance services and support the achievement of The Salvation Army mission.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist the Truck Driver with pick-up and delivery of all donated goods, in accordance with the schedule, and ensuring adherence to WHS manual handling procedures
- Donors and customers are greeted and thanked for their donations and assisted with donations.
- Donated items are offloaded at designated location or site, notifying relevant team member/s and/or customers, and ensuring items are safety stored for sorting, testing, pricing as needed
- Assist with relief truck driving as needed, operating the vehicle in a safe and effective manner, in line with TSA policy and procedures
- As needed or required, administration activities are undertaken as per policies and procedures
This is a permanent, full-time position located in Nambour, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 1.
- Understanding of the value of second-hand goods with a wide knowledge on brands and goods
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse role or similar
- Experience in retail and/or customer service environment is preferred
- Current QLD Driver’s Licence
- Must be physically fit, this role involves standing for extending periods of time and push, pull and carry
