**About the Role**

Active support to meet the individual needs of older people from Nambour to Noosa to empower them to continue to remain safely and independently in their home.

We are looking for caring and responsible support workers who reflect the Life Without Barriers values and are passionate about helping others.

We have Permanent Part Time opportunities available for both experienced/qualified staff and also for those who are new to the industry. Whether you are looking to start your career in Aged Care or continue your career growth, this is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in your local community.

We have flexible working hours available to suit your lifestyle, and the hours can be based between school hours if required. You will support multiple clients per day, so an Australian Drivers Licence is a requirement for this position, we provide reimbursement per km travelled while you are working.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Domestic assistance including washing clothing and hanging out to dry, folding and ironing of clothes, changing of bed linen as required, and other light cleaning duties
- Manual handling

**Skills & Experience**
- A current unrestricted Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum 3rd party insurance
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Prior experience in community services and with ageing clients is highly regarded but not essential
- The ability to develop positive relationships with the clients and to support their individual care plans as appropriate
- Good communication skills

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
