**About the Position**:
The Asset Information Officer role will contribute as a team member to the management, maintenance and development of Council’s corporate Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS).

**The principal objectives of this role are**:
Develop and maintain spatial asset attribute data accessible through Council’s Geographic Information System (ArcGIS / Weave);
Coordinate the quality assurance of spatial data provided by internal and external asset inspectors;
Ensure the asset spatial data conforms to IT standards and practices;
GIS/Asset database administration;
Assist in the analysis of asset data and develop reports to support advanced asset management;
Ensure all asset data is accurately recorded and maintained within Council’s Confirm AMIS System and ArcGIS systems; and

Develop and prepare reports, including multi-database queries in Confirm, GIS and/or other reporting tools (eg excel, PowerBI).

**About you**:
A tertiary qualification in a field related to this position such as computing, geospatial, surveying, engineering, asset management, and GIS mapping, or several years relevant experience/knowledge.

An understanding and demonstrated ability with SQL.

Experience and knowledge of infrastructure asset management systems and principles is highly desirable.

Well-developed investigation, analytical, project management and reporting skills.

Substantial experience in the fields of GIS mapping, data maintenance, and quality control procedures.

Exposure to ArcGIS Model and Confirm asset management system is an advantage.

**Requirement of the position**:
A tertiary qualification in a field related to this position such as computing, geospatial, surveying, engineering, asset management, and GIS mapping, or several years relevant experience/knowledge.

Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
