We have an exciting opportunity to join our Vinidex business as an Extrusion Operator at our Smithfield site. As an Extrusion Operator you will set up and operate automatic or semi
- automatic machines or manual production using related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

About the Role

Extruding pipe to precise measurements and quality standards requires attention to detail and monitoring skills. For the process to run well, it needs to start well. Once the process is underway it is about minimising downtime by making adjustments when required and rectifying problems at the root cause, and not generating scrap.

About You

Along with that you will need to be able to demonstrate:

- Know-how and understanding of quality control, safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and an ability to use hand tools
- A strong work ethic with reliability and commitment
- An ability and willingness to work a 7-day 24-hour roster in a fast-paced environment
