**About the Role**:
As the Intake Worker you will work within the Escaping Violence Payment program which provides financial assistance and support to victim survivors of family violence.

The Intake Worker will be responsible for providing support to consumers nationally in response to client demand and operational needs through initial assessment, risk assessment, safety planning as well as an eligibility assessment.

Our client has several permanent opportunities available ranging from 3- 5 days per week. This role offers flexibility to work from home as the EVP program is a phone-based service however there is potential to transition to a hybrid model in the future.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Minimum of Diploma of Community Services, however a Bachelor of Social Work or relevant field is highly regarded
- Skills and experience supporting victim survivors of family violence
- Experience delivering phone-based services
- Experience working with CALD communities and interpreters/translators
- Understanding and knowledge of community services such as child, youth and family, family violence, housing, mental health, AOD services
- 2x Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Working with Children’s Check - Employee

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conducting risk assessments and safety planning over the phone for victims of family violence
- Providing support and service delivery to clients in response to demand and needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all payment transactions, contributing to regular monitoring and reporting requirements
