The Opportunity
A teacher is responsible to the Teacher-in Charge, Head Teacher or Senior Head Teacher as appropriate.
PERFORM the teacher role in a most effective manner.
PROVIDE assistance in the development of curriculum, teaching methods and resources.
PERFORM those administrative duties associated with their teaching.
ENSURE the principles of equal opportunity in education and employment are applied to all staff and students, including the prevention of overt and covert discriminatory practices.
BE INVOLVED in and assist as required within the corporate life of the Campus.
ADVISE and assist students to develop their educational programs and make them aware of the facilities the Campus provides.
PROVIDE advice and assistance to students, employers and members of the community and generally promote technical and further education.

Essential Requirements

1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications and demonstrated recent Stage 6 experience teaching Design and technology and possibility to also teach: Food technology, Visual Arts, Photography, or vocational courses: Design Fundamentals, Contemporary Visual Arts and Fashion.
2. Diploma in Education is the minimum qualification together with TAE40116.
3. Demonstrated innovation and excellence in the delivery of HSC courses listed above and the
engagement of senior school students.
4. Demonstrated innovation in an educational context, which may include learning support, student development, cross-curricular projects, project-based learning, use of technology, student engagement, industry/community involvement etc
5. Demonstrated experience in supporting a diverse range of students encompassing welfare and learning.
6. Demonstrated leadership skills in delivering programs/projects, working with a range of staff and students.
7. Experience in and/or detailed knowledge of TAFE NSW, Department of Education and New South Wales Education Standards Authority policies and procedures.
