Event Emcee

**Dates**: 17 September 2024 12 pm - 14pm

**Location**: Queen Street, Brisbane (outside Wintergarden)

**Job Overview**: We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Emcee to host and facilitate a outdoor eco event. As the face and voice of our event, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere, guiding attendees through the day’s activities, and ensuring the event runs smoothly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the primary host for the opening event, introducing and guiding various segments of the event.
- Engage with attendees, keeping the energy high and the crowd informed and entertained.
- Make announcements regarding event activities, promotions, and special guests.
- Coordinate with the event management team to ensure the schedule is followed and any changes are communicated effectively.
- Conduct interviews with special guests, including representatives from business, and other key figures.
- Encourage audience participation in activities, such as the social media tagging campaign and other interactive elements.
- Ensure a seamless flow between different event segments and maintain the event’s overall momentum.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as an Emcee or host for events is highly preferred.
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and energize a diverse audience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to last-minute changes.
- A friendly, approachable, and confident demeanor.
- Knowledge of sustainability and green transportation is a plus but not required.
